Internal medicine providers see patients for their yearly physical exams, chronic or acute illnesses and to consult with on their non-emergency health-related questions. Family medicine providers provide comprehensive care and treatment for patients of all ages, though most focus on children ages 2 and up and adults.

As your primary point of contact for all of your health concerns, our providers are ready to assist you with anything from routine physicals to laboratory tests and diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses. You can expect an honest, realistic overview of your health from our primary care doctors, accompanied with a compassionate approach. If you are diagnosed with a chronic condition best treated by a specialist, they can refer you to another physician at RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group who can treat you with skilled care coordinated with your primary care doctor.

Primary Care providers can diagnose and treat various common conditions, from high blood pressure to the flu or chronic headaches, among many others. They manage medication regimens, prescribe medication and provide medication consultations. Their main goal is total body wellness and disease prevention. As your primary care physician, internists are your doctor who you will see on an ongoing basis and form a working doctor/patient relationship with you.
